Golf Sponsorship Gets A Huge Facelift

This is the very first in a series of articles which will highlight some of the best golfers you never heard of ... golfers who have been cutting their teeth and solidifying their "course cred" if you will.

The purpose of these articles is to begin a revolution within the way golfers raise money to play tour golf, and offer opportunity for good hearted folks who wish to be apart of something great and alter lives although helping themselves in the course of action.

Currently we are highlighting Pomp Braswell II who's five year plan is to operate at the Jim McLean Golf Academy and qualifying for the champions tour when eligible. Mclean's camp has created some current fire crackers with Keegan Bradley winning the PGA, Nationwide tournament win with Erik Compton and an LPGA event with Lexi Thompson who won the 2011 Navistar LPGA Classic. Lexi became the youngest winner in the history with the LPGA Tour by two years. Lexi has worked with Jim McLean since the age of 12.

In a telephone interview with Braswell from his house in Phoenix, AZ he says "Jim (McLean) is quiet and humble, and he desires his instructors to be able to play, he wants them to qualify for tournaments." Freedom that Braswell welcomes in his pursuit of playing expert golf at the highest level.

Braswell currently host Golf American Lifestyle on AM 1060 in Phoenix, AZ and he's the co-owner of www.tips4golf.com.

Braswell, originally from Harlem, New York, grew up in South Central, Los Angeles. Learned to play golf while serving within the ASAF, under the Skunk Works Black Operations program, and played College Golf for Saddleback Junior College after which San Jose State University with present PGA Tour player Arron Oberholser.

He has worked and taught for some of the top instructors in the game:

- John Jacobs Golf Schools 97 - Dave Pelz short game School 98-99 - Golf Digest 04-08. Published three times doing the Breaking 100-90-80 series. - Present, the #1 Golf Academy and instructors Jim McLean Golf Schools.

When asked about his new position in the Jim McLean Golf School Pomp says "I'm very excited to be apart of this team and bring my knowledge of playing, teaching and enthusiasm to this organization."

Besides playing, braswell's passion is experiences with all levels of players, from the Raw beginner to the Tour Pro's. "There is nothing better than watching somebody get it, following striking the ball perfectly, on-line, using the trajectory they want", says braswell.

A few of the instructors that Pomp has been fortunate to work with over the years: Dave Maga, Ben Doyle, Scott Watkins, Shelby Futch, Ray Carrasco, Alan Tapie, Terry Okura and last but not least Paul Kopp. "I wish to thank them all for all the insight, lessons and progression we have produced over the years," states Braswell with sincerity and gratitude in his voice.
